Immediate hypersensitivity reactions may occur after administration. Not to be used in asthma & treatment of acute episodes of bronchospasm ie, rescue therapy. Do not initiate in patients w/ acutely deteriorating COPD. Discontinue immediately & substitute alternative therapy if paradoxical bronchospasm occurs. Patients w/ CV disorders especially coronary insufficiency, cardiac arrhythmias, hypertrophic obstructive cardiomyopathy & HTN; convulsive disorders or thyrotoxicosis; known or suspected QT interval prolongation; unusually responsive to sympathomimetic amines. History of MI during the previous year; unstable or life-threatening cardiac arrhythmia; hospitalized for heart failure during the previous year or w/ a diagnosis of paroxysmal tachycardia (>100 beats/min). May produce clinically significant CV effects eg, increase in pulse rate, BP &/or symptoms. Hypokalaemia & hyperglycaemia. Not be used w/ any other medication containing long-acting β
2-adrenergic agonists. May impair ability to drive or operate machinery. Contains benzalkonium chloride 0.0011 mg/actuation which may cause wheezing & breathing difficulties. Pregnancy & lactation. Childn.
